ULTRAMORIA

The memory you don’t need.

One day the story you tell about yourself stops being available. These are audio rituals that set the anchors down one at a time — long before you need them gone. Opening soon.

ul·tra·mo·ria /ul.traˈmo.ri.a/ noun · neologism · Latin ultra (beyond) + memoria (memory)
What is still recognisably you when the biography ends. Who you are when you can no longer tell yourself who you are.

A line through the threshold

your biography beyond the story death — a threshold, not an end

Four preparations

  1. Agnitio

    recognition

Learning to tell what you are from what you remember about yourself.

  2. Vigilia

    wakefulness

Holding attention where it usually goes out — in exhaustion, in fear, at the edge of sleep.

  3. Transitus

    the crossing

The rehearsal. An audio ritual in which you hand back, one at a time, everything you take to be yourself.

  4. Viaticum

    provisions for the road

The last preparation. What you carry when nothing can be carried.

Ultramoria teaches a practice of attention, and what it trains is ordinary: a steadier hold on yourself when circumstances stop confirming who you are. It does not claim to know what lies beyond the threshold, and it is not medical, psychological or palliative care.
